Hello Get cookingnobody adds tomatoe for roast tongue. Another does the tongue becomes tender without pressure cooker. Tongue has to be pressure cooked pls suggest

Isabelle, if you follow our instructions the tongue will become soft. But you can also cook it in a pressure cooker if you like 🙂 You can skip the tomatoes if you don't want to add them. But I like adding Tomatoes, it makes all the difference in taste!

Helen, I don't prefer using a Cooker because I feel you get a boiled feel. But you need to have sufficient water enough to immerse the meat. Cooking time should be around 30 mins.

Maria, Thank you so much. I always get the tongue without the skin. So I've never removed the skin myself. Please search online for how to remove the skin of the tongue. There are many videos that show you the process.

To remove the skin we have always had to boil the tongue first. I must check if there is another way.

Anne, in Goa where we live, most shops sell the tongue without the skin. So we never had to actually clean the tongue ourselves. But there are lots of videos available on KZitem that will show you how to remove the skin & clean the tongue. Do check them out. Evelyn, if you are consuming it the same day you don't need to refrigerate. But if you want to consume it in one or two days, it's better to store it in the fridge or in the freezer to store for a longer duration 🙂
