I've been crocheting for 2 weeks now with only KZitem as my guide, and this video was very helpful for me, as well as the links on your blog. You're a doll!

Thank you so much. I am a intermediate at crocheting and all the other videos were not informative enough. My yarn was thicker so i made less increases and less then 25 rows and it fit.

Thank you, such a fabulous tutorial. I've made 2 of each from the different varieties. So many new stitches I've learnt along the way. Your instructions were very clear and easy to understand. So many varieties of coasters!

Started crocheting at the beginning of June and made this the day before yesterday! Was a bit worried about working in the round but this video gave me some confidence. Thank you for also writing the pattern on your blog!! I could then just follow that while I travelled to work. Made two already (added an extra round the first time as the base looked so small - beginner error - have now used it for a travel cup. Second one I followed properly!).

Thank you so much for this. When I get to the last part with the slip stitch mine looks kinda uneven. The rest is seamless until I get to this part. Am I doing something wrong? Any suggestions?

It might help to go up a hook size to help with tension for that last round!

does it need to be a specific weight yarn? i believe i have a 2 or 3 weight yarn i need to use up and i wanted to use it for this but not sure how it will turn out
@thegracefultangle9742

My apologies for the delayed response. The pattern is written for a worsted weight (4) yarn, but if you use that lighter weight held double it should be great!

Hello! I’m left handed and when following the video, I see my cozy is inside out 😅. I wanted to ask if I made a mistake or if it’s just how it’ll happen because you’re right handed?
@thegracefultangle9742
Жыл бұрын
Oh goodness! I don't think working left hand would cause this. Try making sure that when you finish the base, you work *up* the cozy and keep the base at the bottom. I am finding it is difficult to explain; does this help?
@rachelestelow
Жыл бұрын
yes i had this problem too! i too am left handed and mine was inside out lol i just flipped it inside out. but i think it may have to do with being that we are working left to right (left handed) and not right to left (right handed)

My issue with magic rings is it feels impossible to see where the stitches are when working the second round.

It can be tricky! Trying working those sts looser, or maybe chaining two and working into that first chain instead!

What about shrinkage? Do you take into account with cotton and shrinking when making it? I would love to start making my cozies with cotton but always worry they will Shrink too much.

Good thought! I personally haven't had any issues, but you could try washing in the washer or by hand then hanging them or laying them flat to dry!

Ive done this like 6 times and cant get passed round 3. I never end up with 18. How many do you have after round two? Because i have 14 after 2 and theres no way ill end up with 18 after that. 😩
@thegracefultangle9742
2 ай бұрын
Yup! You should have 6 sts in round one to setup, then 12, then 18. Place a stitch marker in your first stitch to help you out!
