Is there a written pattern some where?? How to you change the rib/cuff to change the size I want to go up? And what size buttons did you use please
@MadeleineShirley
Жыл бұрын
Hey! At the moment I don't have a written pattern, but I am working towards making my tutorials into available patterns over time. I have a few up on my Instagram for other tutorials, so if you follow me there this will be where I add any updates. The buttons are 2cm diameter💙

Hello Madeleine,i have started to make this cardigan for my doughter who is 10 ,and i'm following the same increase pattern as you for the arms,until desired length,is that ok or should i increase less often??
@MadeleineShirley
6 ай бұрын
Hey, I would say as long as you have adjusted the ribbing width to fit her wrists then you will also find that the arm is about right proportionally. It will stay to the same shape I mean. She will likely need less ribbing rows to start with than me, which will decrease the sleeve size overall. Hope that helps and it comes out just right for her 🙃

Hi Madeleine! So, in your description you write that you used 4.0 mm and 4.5 mm crochet hooks, but in the video itself you are using 5.0 for crocheting all the pieces and 4.00 for the seams. is there a reason you would rather have used 4.5 ? or just a typo? :) the size of the crochet hook is quite important as the size of the pattern will turn out differently :D

Hi Christina 😊 You are totally right, thank you for pointing that out to me! I have updated the description so it says 4mm/5mm - I do use a 5mm hook for all the body pieces 💚

how much gram of yarns do you use for this?
@MadeleineShirley

Hey Zahara, I used somewhere between 400-500g (4/5 balls) of this DK weight yarn for the medium size. Each ball was 250m in length. Hope that helps x

I don’t see the difference between a dc twist stitch and a dc crochet stitch. On- line Dc twist stitch actually twists the hook in a circle to “ twist” the stitch. What am I missing?
@MadeleineShirley
2 жыл бұрын
Hey, so I learnt this as the double crochet twist stitch but apparently it's actually called the double crochet 'cross' stitch, so my terms got mixed up somewhere down the line - self taught issues 🤦 I suppose you learn something new everyday! Thanks for pointing that out I'll pop it in the description😂 x

Different places often have different stitch names. One KZitem crocheter kept referring to a back bar, it took a while to figure out she meant the back loop. I was taught the basics by a teacher, but everything else I learned from books, magazines, and videos.
