I started this today with Red Heart Soft in color turquoise. I want to finish it for a gift next Wednesday. Thank you so much for the tutorial. You do something that helps me enormously which is show very closely how you join and tell us how many stitches at the end of each row. Of course in this pattern, it never changes but in the ones that do it is a vital piece of information so thank you.

Yay. Something else to make with these tons of mandala cakes I got a couple weeks ago!! Constantly looking for different projects that this yarn would work good with. I've made a bunch of ponchos, and right now I have the duster cardigan in the works and a puff shell blanket. I really need to stick with one thing at a time but my ADD really kicks in when it comes to crocheting. Thanks for another cool project!

Yes, I have the same problem. I easily have a dozen things going at any one time - blankets, scarves, dishcloths, Christmas ornaments, hats, headbands, and other miscellaneous projects. I ordered a bunch of the Mandala when it was on sale a few weeks ago too. It's beautiful yarn. I was thinking about using it in with this pattern as well. I have 3 daughters and figure they'd make great Xmas gifts

I finished my cowl. It came out pretty good although my beginning chain row is a little tight with no stretch.. I'll loosen it up next time.. I like the way yours moves around also so another thing I'll do neat time is use a lighter yarn. I'm happy with it though and your instructions, as always, are very easy to follow. Thank you.

I just love the bobble stitch, I knitted a layette years & years ago for my daughters with that stitch in lilac. Beautiful pattern
@KatarinaS.
4 жыл бұрын
Did you do the bobble in every row or was there an in between row such as in this pattern? Was it the same type of bobble, crochet 3 double crochets together?
@paulinehulett6415
4 жыл бұрын
@@KatarinaS. Purl row in-between & yes 3 dc together to keep the bobbles at the front of the knitting. I had 4 rows rib to start with. It is a very old pattern as my eldest daughter is now 46, sadly my youngest is with the Angels. I gave all the baby knits to a little girl for her baby dolls, & the dolls still wear them as her children now have those dolls. LOL.

So I couldn't wait... I'm gonna make this tonight. But I did want to say that back when I first learned to crochet (in the 1970's), we called this stitch a "popcorn stitch". If you prefer to see the FRONT side of your double's you can "pop" the "bobbles" to the other side by just pressing your finger in them.
@KatarinaS.

Yes, I remember my mom making things using something called the popcorn stitch. Great tip about popping the bobble out the other direction.
