for round 10, i also for some reason couldn’t get the st count to match, so i just skipped 6 and worked into the 7th. i’ll let yall know if it works out! (and if i had to modify the trunk in any way bc i skipped an extra st! update: skipping 6 instead of 7 worked fine update: when i started the trunk, i had 13 st instead of 12. but that could have 100% been a miscount because of the fuzziness of the yarn, and me adding a st in the wrong spot. i just made the 12th st a DEC to make up for the extra st and bring it back down to 12. so everything worked out fine!

I am using Bernat blanket yarn and when doing a magic circle with 6 stitches I get a kind of dome shape at the top of the head, instead of more round. I was told once to start with 8 stitches instead of 6 and then the 2nd round would be 16 instead of 12, and 3 round would be 24. This means I am at 24 one row early so how should I adjust the pattern to account for this? Maybe skip a round or do 2 rows of 24?
@steph3878
11 ай бұрын
I've learned that when making circles, in the round, what ever the starting sc count is equals to the number of increases you make each round. Example = 8 sc in the magic ring R1, R2 - 16 sc, R3 - 24, R4 - 32, etc until you get it to the size you like. Hope that helps! Good luck!!

I’ve tried making a lot of your patterns and mine never look the same. Mine are way fatter than yours and kind of deformed. My question: I’ve been using bernat blanket yarn it’s a yarn weight 6 super bulky. According to the label it asks for an 8mm crochet hook, but you’re using a 4.5mm. Is this my mistake? Are you using a small needle on a large yarn? I’m in no way a beginner I have been crocheting for years but I’m also not an expert, can you please reply and let me know if this is my mistake so I can fix it.
