@@SaintShion just a couple of windows
@jessemcinnis9524
4 ай бұрын
@@SaintShion there are many different ways to have ventilation for a greenhouse, since it was a do it yourself plan( which I love by the way!) I would have maybe used an old window that could open and just frame it in, it also depends on a few things you know? Types of plants growing, location and temperature. Does it snow there? They could be place on the roof or even on one of the walls! They also even make automatic ones and stuff that can be set up in a timer. Now the fan or air circulation is important for a few things. First it simulates wind for plants and seedlings so that they build stronger roots and become “bulkier” or just stronger in general, then it also helps with heat distribution and movement, decreases the chance of fungus and pests, things like that! I hope this helps. I’m a Cobb county master gardener in Georgia, so let me know if you need anything else. You can also contact your local county extension office for any and all other info!

@@motog4-75 he meant that the angle the roof is on, combined with the thickness of the lumber (since the roof panel is attached on top), makes a gap at the front and back edge of the roof. That should allow quite a bit of heat to escape by convection... but that's a problem in itself if you want the plants to be protected from cold in spring/ fall. Also, regardless of temp, plants need a breeze to shake them and build stem strength, so a fan would be a good addition.

@@susannebrunberg4174 we built a greenhouse last month in our garden. A lot bigger than this. But out foundation is simply 4 earth anchors that you screw down into the ground, and supports a square frame of pressure treated 2×8 that has a tiny bit of ground clearance, then the rest is built on top of that. Super simple and the anchors cost us like $5 per or something, basically nothing. It was a lot easier than casting concrete pillars, and if we want to remove it one day we simply screw them out of the ground.

Hey, my doubt.. Wont the bottom wood touching soil get damaged too easily ? And no ventilation inside? Love the construction, especially the green door, which is so cute. I'm gonna subscribe ❤

I would put it on concrete or something so pests don't get in. And put a vent in the roof or side wall and definitely tie it down if you are in Florida bc we have enough storms to blow it away easily lol. But it's a quick and good design, just needs a few adjustments depending on your environment. You could use white corregated panels and make a tiny house of shed with that design too. 😊

Im so jealous, i live in a place where it's way too hot for a green house. Plant would literally boil. We can only have a shade house. Keep on planting 😊 ❤

Glue to ground with concrete... bottom and sides so it doesn't kite away like my covered gazebo decided to do in a wicked MD thunderstorm😊😊😊Great job! Good ❤

Nice. Pray for no hailstones. Or put lifters in it so you can add n run out & cover it with thick tarp....
