I love the nice deep pot you have for your Crystal 💖 I feel like it’s hard to find pots like that in my area. Thanks for sharing this great idea. I bought some 9oz plastic disposable cups to try and make my own pot extenders. I plan to cut the bottom out and a slit on the side to take off and on. Hope this works out for you 😊

Super...hoping your plant loves it too :) The long deep pots are slowing becoming more and more available online...specially on several instagram accounts...so best it to keep scouting for them 🪴

One last suggestion, now that you have your pot extender on maybe you can take the stake back out and cut a small slit in the pot extender so that 2nd leaf can rest back into its original position and also have the opportunity to get better light. Right now the top leaf is really blocking it from receiving good light. I hope you don’t mind all of my comments lol. I know engagement is good for your channel 😊

That's actually a very good idea...I will try to consider doing this. Mostly I will wait and chop that last old leaf too. All 4 of these leafs are actually 9-10 months old (if not more). Unfortunately something or the other kept happening to all new leafs which tried coming out after that and could not unfurl. So the plant went through a lot. I am pinning hopes on this new leaf (looks like it will be a big one). If all goes well, will chop the older one after the new one hardens. Still many days to go for this to happen 😇 And thank you so much for all the comments. Makes me really happy and glad to connect and talk about such details about our plants. Something our families don't get about it 🙈 #IYKYK

I’m just thinking about the setup. When new roots start growing they might find their way in between those holes from the moss pole. I’m not sure if that could be a problem in the future but just something to consider.

True, I didn't think about that at all in that moment 🙈 after your comment I went and I checked the situation :) Luckily the part with holes is aligned tight with the pot so hoping that that problem doesn't happen 🤞🏻 The roots have already started growing deep into the pot extender part so I am glad I tried the DIY for it :)

The metal is what’s harming your plant leaves, that’s why they look like that. Plus that is a way to small pot.

Ooh probably could be that metal...will change it with a plastic one...yeah guess it's a small pot...will soon up-pot 🌿

I am thinking your pot is way too small for the Anthurium. They like to be in much larger pots that only looks like a 5 inch maybe 6? Best of luck with your leaves. I moved mine back into lower light to get the bleach to go away.

I agree...the width of the pot is quiet narrow. I had to do an emergency repot when I did this and didn't have any other pot them 🙈 I remember shoving all the roots in this narrow planter. Whenever a repot happens, would definitely want to plan better in advance 🪴🌿

Last recommendation is you could chop your plant. You probably have 2 maybe 3 possible plants in that one. I am not an expert, but I watch a lot of channels 😂 one being Alice on YouDontEvenGrowHere.

Yeah I thought of that but I am so scared 🙈🙈🙈 maybe in the future. Great channel, will have a look there and gain some knowledge until then 🪴🎋 I love her videos too :)
