I'm not a huge Class C fan. However, this one has an awesome floor plan. I would make a couple changes: 12V frig, a convection oven, a flip up/flush countertop (so it creates an L in the kitchen space), a more comfortable couch (that couch looks like a couple pieces of wood with fabric stretched over it...) and I change it get rid of the valances... they don't match the farm house look. Other than those things, I really like this camper. LOVE the farm house decor!

I really like this Josh. It's making me reconsider a class B camper van for my upcoming retirement. The main reason for my leaning towards class B vans is the wider availability of lithium power systems for quiet or stealth off grid camping. Hopefully Jayco will offer their awesome Li package on class C's in the future (assuming the E450 chassis/7.3 can accommodate the second 48v alternator). But this is now, so things I would change: Things that could be done now. Yes to the 12 volt fridge. Upgrade the existing optional solar package to (2) Battleborn lithium (or similar) batteries, a compatible charge controller and at least a 1,000 watt inverter driving a couple of the 110v outlets. Add the shower miser system and switch to a Truma heat system. Upgrade the vent fan to a covered Fantastic fan. Edit - Lose the 110v mini fridge, add a 12v receptacle and add a small Dometic 12v fridge to the outside kitchen. Future state change suggestions: Option A) Go full electric with the awesome 48V Li system. No propane or generator. Bonus points for a two burner induction cooktop and counter space for a toaster oven, Instantpot etc. Keep the outdoor kitchen space with just 12v and 110v outlets. Add exterior 110v and usb charging outlets. Make the empty generator and propane spaces storage compartments. 12v fridge and convection microwave. Edit - The onboard air compressor From the Terrain. Option B) My personal preference, a hybrid if you will. Both the 48v Li system and propane. Keep the gas cooking appliances, including the outdoor gas kitchen grill but with an electric mini 12/110v Dometic or similar fridge. 12v fridge and conventional or convection microwave. Edit - No generator and the onboard air compressor From the Terrain. Option C) The "ok I'm dreaming now" package available with option A and B. A factory 4x4 conversion with a 2" inch lift. Quigley conversion. Just my 2 cents. Thanks for the great review as always, you rock dude.

Nice Floorplan! Lots of space when the Murphy bed has been stowed. You are right about us bigger people not having enough room in the drivers compartment. In my opinion the E450 chassis also has about the stiffest suspension around. If you are only going to drive a 100 miles or so, you would probably be fine, but if you decide to drive across the country, you will likely be very sore at the end of each day. You will feel every bump you go over. It would probably be OK for your Uncle Gary though!!!!!

Wow, this is the floorplan! The one I thought I'd never see in a class C, it has everything on my list! Good cargo capacity, rear full width bath, the murphy bed AND a cabover with a decent load rating, a dinette to rip out and replace with an office space, bathroom, bed (cabover), AND fridge access with the slide closed for perfect accessibility when "stealth" camping (as much as one can with a class C anyway), a generator, a fireplace, a nice TV *with STORAGE*, and dual ACs for extra pup safety, and all under 30 feet! I thought I'd have to get a travel trailer to fit all that stuff in 30ft! First time I've EVER seen one tick off all the boxes in a class C! And the camp kitchen? Not on my list of must haves but definitely a plus! If I were being nitpicky, my only complaint is the step up on the slide, shame they couldn't make that a smoother transition, and of course a 12V fridge would be nicer!

@KU9L

Wow, I was wondering when Jayco was going to borrow the Winnebago View floorplan, put it on the E450 chassis, stretch it to almost 29', and put in an outdoor kitchen!!! Now, you did not mention the OCCC (shame, shame), but I would buy it if they offered a 12-volt compressor fridge, "IF" they allowed me to yank out that terrible group 24 L.A. battery and install my own dual Group 27 Battleborn LIFEPO4 lithium batteries. The 190-watt solar panel is great, I would add a 2nd solar panel with a Victron 30-amp B.T. MPPT controller and then add a 2nd 30-amp Victron controller so my ground-mounted 400-watts of solar can get me a speedy recharge. Often the canyons we camp host offer unlimited beauty, but sometimes just 3-4 hours of peak solar charging before either the sun disappears over the canyon wall or the afternoon hail and thunder rain everything out. Since I would have a 25' cell pole velcro-strapped to the rear ladder (with high-gain log periodic antenna), I need to add my own inverter also since Jayco doesn't think camp hosts spend 4-6 months serving the public and like to run their printers to print out reservation updates, etc. So Red Hawk and Odyssey both need to offer Inverter options (I know one group 24 lead acid battery won't support a 1000-watt inverter, but LEAD IS DEAD and LIFEPO4 is so common today I get so tired of having to explain it to CEOs). So, in order for me to dump my Lance travel trailer and go to the Redhawk or Odyssey (whoever has stock), I expect these changes to be manifested ASAP so I will quit looking at that Winnebago floorplan that I have been drooling over for years and years (I hate the Sprinter chassis). I have a question about the storage area where the solar plug and outlet are, outside. It looks like there isn't a way for cords to exit, so the door would have to stay open? I don't usually care for outside kitchens. This one bends that thought. I really like that it's done with a grill top (looked like it?) and that it had that narrow storage next to it. Great place to keep grill stuff, and it looked like it might fit paper plates on their side. Grilling isn't something I can do in the regular kitchen, and means I don't have to carry a separate grill. If I'm wrong and it wasn't a grill...then meh.

I like the idea of a 12 volt refrigerator supported with solar panels and a couple of batteries, but, unfortunately class C coaches don’t usually offer enough room for extra batteries.

I love it...for a ritired trucker I could live in this for long periods of time I just don't know if I could afford the fuel to get out of driveway or backyard...did I miss the MPG? I have won awards getting 8 mpg out trucks fuel tank capacity?

Love it. I tried to order one from "another dealership" / national chain ... Not Bish's. I just could not reconcile the $5,000 order deposit (non-refundable) and $20k mandatory down payment. I was surprised that the dealership I spoke with would not allow me to decide what I wanted to do as a down payment. I hope the drivable industry levels out soon.

That’s not indicative of the industry at large but rather that place’s operations. A non-refundable down payment on a special order isn’t uncommon though. And reasonable if you understood how the dealership is on the hook for that RV

@@JoshtheRVNerd I agree. My concern was mostly with the total deposit. Even if I have the money I just don't love to put that much down. I think my real issue was with my choice of dealer and sales person. They very much made me feel like a commodity and not a customer. They basically said they didn't need my business. I am guessing Bish's would be a different experience. I would welcome a dealership in WA.

@@jonverda All I can tell is that a LENDER may require a certain amount down but a dealership really has no actual say in what you put down And if they really try to force that issue then.. I mean there's plenty of other places Understand I HIGHLY recommend putting as much money down as you can, but that's YOUR decision and not mine you know?

This is a very nice unit. Jayco, Southwest valances are a No go. They not only don't go with farmhouse decor, they have looked bad for the last few years. Josh, I do like the 👍U shape dinette, 👍 large bunk over cab and the rear bath!

Hard Pass on the 12v fridge. But as we have discussed, I’m jaded by my experience with the big full-size 12V fridge in my Wolfpack. One the size of this fridge could be entirely different ball game

Yes why did they pick blue lights. Red I don't love but at least I get the why. I prefer a warm light. I've always wondered about the blue so if there was a reason, please share!
