thanks for the times on the chicken :) I'm trying trader joe's frozen ming chicken teryiaki bbq pork in the instant pot for the first time, I added the two sauce packets and a little water to avoid the burn sign :) but your times helped a bunch! (I usually do frozen chicken too, just hadn't done this one yet). You were the only person who had the correct times! thank you!!!

A bit of overcooking it only has to be 165 degrees - but a great recipe for on the go people

It may seem like that but it's kinda like marinating the chicken. It makes it supper tender with a whole lot of flavor.

This looks really good. How long would you cook for chicken that is not frozen
@cookingwithalittlespice
5 жыл бұрын
That's a great question! If the chicken is not frozen just follow the first step by cooking it for 15 minutes and letting it NR for 10 minutes.

If i wanted to add rice would i just add it with the chicken and use less teriyaki and soy sauce or just add it with the same amount?
@cookingwithalittlespice
5 жыл бұрын
If you are cooking rice in it you would need to add a thin liquid to it like chicken broth.
@Chuck-hg1pg

Ok so no teriyaki sauce till its served then?
@cookingwithalittlespice

No you cook it all the same but also add about a half of cup of chicken broth too.

If you do the 15 min and then another 15 on boneless skinless chicken thigh you'll successfully overcook it to where the meat is DARK and tastes burnt. Nothing like wasting $28 of chicken. :-/

Hmm soy nor teriyaki sauce is healthy. Lol. The sodium is off the chain in this recipe.
