First I listen to the videos couple of times, then note all the kanji and new words, then rewatch the video on mute/pause to read thru the subtitle script, then rewatch again. Learnt a lot. Thanks a ton.

I rly appreciate this type of video idea where you speak more slowly but teach a lot of technical but very useful terms ありがとう アキコ先生 :)
I love Japanese dramas. I love Japanese drama called Orange days and got interested to learn Japanese after that. I also want to learn kanji but there are no good channels that teaches kanji effectively. Among all KZitemrs teaching Japanese, I found Miku real an Akiko sensei to be the best in this field. Keep making these amazing videos❤

I really recommend Anki or JPDB for learning kanji! They are free and similar to flashcards. For Anki, you need a computer to download a pre-made deck of flash cards but then you can do everything on mobile. For JPDB, you don't need a computer, I recommend starting with the Genki textbook decks The KZitemr Tokini Andy is working on a kanji series but he paused the series so he can improve the videos. I wanted to learn faster than that, so I went ahead on my own and I've learned hundreds of kanji this year
Great podcast Akiko sensei, thanks for that! Indeed great advice with lots of new words, the English translation of the worlds helps a lot! For me its the anime in the first place, but also the fact that someday I wanna try living in Japan for a couple of years hehe :D Plus as you mentioned, I found my way of studying and enjoying the process, like a good hobby to keep my brain working :)
I wanted to learn Japanese for two reasons. One is to go to a Japanese university and the other is I love Japanese movies. I recently watched the new Godzilla movie and in that movie there was a little kid named Akiko. She was so cute😂 And I remembered Akiko sensei while watching that movie. Sensei, what is your fav Japanese movie? .. you are a blessing to all the Japanese learners. I am happy to know you through KZitem. The quality of your videos are so good that I watch it multiple times so keep uploading. Full support ❤

Thank you so much for your comment! I really hope you get into a Japanese uni you want to! I’ve always been too scared to watch Godzilla hahaha My favorite is Spirited Away (sorry for being so basic but yeah always makes me cry 😭😭🩷)
After watching this, it made me realize i have a long way to go! While i did not understand much, I was able to get through it while getting some things here and there. I want to be able to communicate better when traveling to Japan! I also like listening to J-pop. =D
