Thank you for a very concise video helping us with rebuilding the kitchen aid. There are other much worse videos of Kitchenaid mechanics singing and introducing people into the video they didn't need to so MY DEEP APPRECIATION.

I just fixed my wife's mixer after watching your video on the repair. It went smooth and only took about 1 hour. Thanks.

Next week my hubby will buy me my first KA 7580. But now i have to see what problems will be possible and how i can fix it, because my hubby should'nt touch it- he's not good at such things😅. I saw a video today about an other problem, which only becomes audible when resistance is exerted on the stirring hook. You can then also see that the part of the machine that runs in circles makes an up and down movement, a knocking noise become audable. So I hope my machine doesn't have any malfunctions right away. Here in Europe this mashines costs much more money than in U.S. so a new one would cost around 1.298€ or on sale for 895€- also too much for me. Makes me also thinking about that brand new bought mashines have sometimes also the problem like in the video i saw and one has to bring it to the service because owners are not allowed to repair otherwise the Warranty void.😏 Thanks for this very informative video!👍🏻

Mine is over 20 years old. Never serviced. Just stuck and started grinding. Working out if I attempt to fix myself or send it off to a repair shop. Might give it a go myself.

Do you happen to know how to get the top cover off the Pro 450? I need to tighten the screw on the control switch. I can’t get the mixer to shut off all the way.

Holy cow I must have the oldest kitchen aid ever🤣 Mine looks nothing like that inside😳 It’s 25 years old and I just now am having issues… list nut on the motor housing… think it lodged in motor because it is locked up…I’m a diggin into these videos but these are newer ones

I know its a 5 month old comment but if you can find the serial number on it you should be able to find when it was manufactured and search a video/guide for your specific model

Yeah I finally did, there were two pieces from my kit that didn't fit very well. One was the extra attachment gear which I never use anyway so the old one went back and then the gear that transfers the power from the motor to the rest of the gears I had to use the old one. The part that actually need the repair fit fine so that's the good news. I used it that night and made some dough. @@SkylarHillShop

A pair of small snap ring pliers is almost a must. You can also use some small picks but that would be considerably harder.

@Kent Merrill, it has always sounded like that since it was new. I would imagine it has do to with they way the gears are cut. Some styles of gears are inherently noisy.
@konasan

@@Instantphojo Do you mean tht the gears are seating to deeply and the ends of the teeth are bottoming out? Or what?
