Thank you ❤️ I use “Laila Xtra Long Basmati Rice, Gluten Free” usually buy the 5Kg bag from Asda, hope that helps.

Hi, when I try making this the rice comes out a bit mushy/soggy. Is that because I’m using too much water or because I am not letting it reduce enough before I put the lid on? Thanks.

Hi, Leaving too much water will make the rice grains absorb more water, making the rice soggy and mushy. Therefore, it is important to allow the water to reduce to roughly 1cm above the rice level before you put the lid on. This will then be enough water for the rice to fully cook. Hope this helps ❤️
