I put a text document on all of my SD cards titled "Owners Info" - In it, my name, phone number and email address.

Don’t be a Christmas tree diver. Only take what you need on a dive. Preventative maintenance is important. If it takes half an hour to gear up, you either have too much gear or need to hurry the f@$k up! 😂

Yeah, they also stopped making parts for it. Unfortunate. I know there are some folks out there that will out parts kits together for these and service them. My concern is that if they're willing to ignore the immense liability that goes a long with doing that, they might not be the best techs. Just my thoughts on it.

Mk 5 still a great regulator, I have several. All the variations. Still some parts floating around. As long as I can get HP seats I can keep them going.

I have carried a save a dive kit for most all my 45+ years of diving. It has changed over the years. Being the largest when I was an instructor. Rarely needed for myself. O-rings, tighten a loose hose replace a fin strap. But, has saved a lot of other's dives.

The tools under water tip was brilliant, especially the mouthpiece, even as a rec diver, you never know what one might need.

Zip ties, that is a great recommendation that came to my mind on the 2nd dive I did in my life! On my OWD course, the zip tie of my inflator broke. It happened in the pool, so it wasn’t really a problem, and I continued the lesson with just pushing the tube tightly on the inflator, but if it happens in some depth, a zip tie saves your dive for sure! And it is so small, that there is no excuse to not have them with you on any dive.

Where does one find decently thick wetsuit pants? Everything I can find is quite thin and I can’t imagine will help with lift much… thanks for the content.
@DiveVibe

I use 3mm pants I got from amazon. Decent amount of lift. Freediving pants go up to 7mm. My buddy does 5mm top and 7mm bottom in a freediving suit.

Good tips man… I suck at thumbnails. I’m also found (disappointingly) is if the thumbnail is negative, you get more views. I’m sorry I had a successful dive and lived lol
@DiveVibe

Yeah it sucks, I hate doing thumbnails. It always feels like I'm not being truthful, but you kinda have to do it or no one will see your video. I also hate that having a large face in the thumbnail is important for the algo, so every one of these thumbnails has my big dumb face all over it, lol.

@@DiveVibe my god yes… you seem to be much more comfortable with it and being on camera. I’m still working up to that. I would love to discover something that would make our niche more popular and I guarantee you it’s not my face on a thumbnail :)
