The Sennheiser EW-D CI1 Wireless Guitar System was shockingly easy to set up, largely thanks to the easy-to-use app. It's fully rack-mountable, offers 134dB of dynamic range, delivers eight hours of battery life on two AA batteries (12 with their rechargeable battery, sold separately), has 2,240 selectable frequencies and up to 90 channels of audio per wireless network.

Before finishing this video, I wanted to make sure I had a chance to use the Sennheiser EW-D CI1 Wireless Guitar System, and it did not disappoint. I used it with an acoustic guitar at a show instead of a DI box, and I was pleased with how easily it worked, how good it sounded, and how it reduced stage clutter.
The Sennheiser EW-D CI1 Wireless Guitar System can also work by plugging directly into an amp by going out the 1/4 inch AF jack in the back. The EW-D Smart Assist App even has some recommendations so you're getting the exact same signal output as you would from a traditional guitar cable.
I might start using the Sennheiser EW-D CI1 Wireless Guitar System at home, during my demos. Currently, I'm running a long instrument cable from my filming area to my computer, which, again, adds clutter to my floor. If I set up the Sennheiser EW-D CI1 Wireless Guitar System instead, I can sent my audio across the room without worry about tripping on cables.
If you're already using rackmount effects live (or in the studio), the Sennheiser EW-D CI1 Wireless Guitar System would work seamlessly, as it's also rack mountable. So go ahead, get yourself a wireless foot switcher for your rackmount gear and go totally wireless.
If you're using a guitar pedalboard, you can still use the Sennheiser EW-D CI1 Wireless Guitar System. Essentially, you could run an instrument cable out of the AF jack in the back, into your pedal board, and then send your effects to the amp like usual. Yes, your pedalboard will still be wired in, but you'll have wireless freedom to move about the stage (or even into the crowd).
My only gripe with the Sennheiser EW-D CI1 Wireless Guitar System is that it doesn't come with a right angled cable for the guitar. About half of the guitars I play live (and all of the basses) have the output jack on the front, and I don't love having a straight-angled cable coming out of the front of a guitar.
