Good idea for shawl pin. I sanded stick a bit and painted with clear nail polish so it wouldn't snag yarn.

I love this. I was in th hospital recently and got a notification on the tutorial for the Web Shawl. I challenged my viewers to CAL with me during recovery, for a giveaway. We've had fun, and I will certainly be using this pattern a lot. I love the shawl pin. Thank you for your brilliant ideas! You are a great teacher and you are appreciated.

Thank you! You are such a good teacher. I wish you'd do more knitted shawls etc. I am a visual learner vs reading charts etc. Funny! You don't want to impale yourself. Thanks

This is just what I needed. I made my sister a shawl and bought a hand made wooden piece for 25.00 so she could pin it. Well my sister is 90 years young and she lost it. She called the other night and said she lost it. I checked the wooden piece to order her a new one and they are now 38.00. So you have saved me a lot of money. Thanks. I will go to the store today and buy the sticks.lol

Very smart. Some of us are wondering why we didn’t think of this ourselves. I have made sweater buttons in a similar fashion using smaller plastic rings.

This is perfect. I just made my Mom a Wrap for Mother's Day. I was going to look for a traditional stick pin for her Wrap. Now I want to make this. So easy and no pliers or wire needed and I could probably find some pretty hair chopsticks that would work. Thank you I also happen to have yarn left from her wrap. A great DIY!

I used a thick hair tie for the ring to crochet around and a bamboo skewer, lightly sanded, then stained with some scratch cover and clear nail polish. Even formed the point using my electric pencil sharpener. Voila!
