Because bunting flutters in the wind, I think both sides need to be attractive. If the bunting is for the wall, or shelf edge indoors, then backing fabric wouldn't show.

I have done embroidery for years. But love the no rules of slow stitching. The bunting is adorable. Thank you for the video

How lovely - I now have a purpose for my grandmother's fruitcake tin (biscuit tin) full of bits that are too pretty to get rid of and too small for an actual project!

I really enjoyed that Sarah thank you. I have toyed with wanting to make some bunting for ages, but it always seemed such a faff and a waste of good fabric for it to just get all wet and soggy - not to mention a greenish tinge - out in the garden!, but I really liked your much more straightforward way of doing it, and the idea of making smaller, pretty bunting for indoors - although I can see I am really in desperate need of a decent bead stash!, yours is seriously amazing!!!

Thank you for the video Sarah. I have been gathering scraps to build a stash for slow stitching so it will be lovely to see other projects. I am going to try a cover for a stitchy journal following your last slow stitching video. Ginger cat was made for that crown and by the sounds of his purrs obviously feels the bunting is for him. He is obviously the King of your stitchy studio.

I love this idea, Sarah. Just the thing I think for when between projects. Or in your case while healing fingertips! Bunting is so cheerful somehow, I don't know why. I had to chuckle at your advice for the well-ventilated area while fusing fabrics. I couldn't help but visualize what may have led to that recommendation! 😊

I sewed some outdoor bunting for a centenary celebration at the allotments. I thought about both sides. Tick. But it wouldn't hang down and the wind wound it up. So plan B was to drop a penny into each triangular pouch! It hurts when it hits you in the face!!! Plan C?
