Just a tip for people who aren’t easily scared(and that is not meant as a slam). We reuse our lids after inspecting that they are flat, undammaged, and have good sealing rubber, as many times as they are in good shape. As long as they are sealed after canning and sealed later in the year as you open them, there is no problem. Been doing so for 30 years. Just put any that don’t seal in the beginning in the fridge ( which is very infrequent ) and use them right away. If you ever find a bad one on the shelf, pitch it. If your inspection before canning is scrupulously performed, you won’t even have 1% unsealed.

Please, freeze your grapes for a few hours and then trying boiling/pounding them, the cell walls just squeeze out automatically, it would get even more tastier with a total new flavour profile that's even intense.

I tried making this and I’m pretty sure I over cooked it. I cooked it over 45 mins, as I was using the spoon method to check for thickness! The taste is very good, however it is a consistency of a thick paste! Ugh! I’ll try again however! I have made jams before so I have been successful before.

if you boil the lids with the jars you can avoid that last step of boiling the jars.

you dont need pectin. I have never used it ever. one to one juice to sugar, a squeeze of lemon which has pectin in it, and stir, stir, stir. Don't boil it for longer than 20-25 minutes, pour into jars. apply lids and let them sit. When you hear the pop, they have sealed.
