Today it's about making gluten free unleavened bread. Yes, I can't wait to share this with you because so many of you have requested it. And I am here to serve you God's recipe for excellent health, and that includes unleavened bread, so I can't wait to share this with you.
Unleavened Bread Gluten Free Recipe
Ingredients:
2 cups of flour
1 teaspoon of salt
2 tablespoons of oil
Water
So let's get started making the unleavened bread. I'm going to start with my flour. I have two cups of flour. Now to the flour I'm going to add one teaspoon of salt. Many people have commented that they believe that unleavened bread is just flour, water and oil. without salt, I guarantee you, you are not going to eat this bread.
Now to this we're going to add two tablespoons of oil. You could choose an olive oil because of its biblical significance. Or you could use an avocado oil. Now to this we're going to add three fourths a cup of cold water.
Get that mixed well.
As we mixed this up, just realize you're eating bread. When you get this finish, you're eating a bread that Jesus would have shared with his disciples on the night that they celebrated Passover with his disciples, which many people call the Last Supper, the Lord's Supper. It was the night prior to the actual Passover. He was celebrating it one night early. Because the next night he would be the Passover lamb. And when they said they broke bread, they had unleavened bread, it would not have been a hollow bread.
It was not it was not a Sabbath, it was going into the high Sabbath, which is a Passover.
Now this type of flour is going to mix differently. And I may even need to add just a little bit more flour. So I'm going to put this on a floured surface, I'm going to add just a little bit of flour on my surface here. I'm just going to need it to get it into a good bread form.
And I do the same with the regular flour too. I need that one as well. We're not going to bake this, we're actually going to cook this one on the stove. And so it's just such a fast bread to make. You could make this so quickly at home if you have your flour ready to go that you could celebrate communion you could celebrate Lord's Supper any day you want to just have a special time with the Lord. So as I need this, I'm trying to get that xantham gum that's in our flour mixture to try and develop that into a little bit of a glutinous texture, we have a little bit of the tapioca starch, which also creates more of a sticky texture. So there we have it.
