Sugar doesn’t make you fat. Eating a ton of sugar will. Don’t be afraid of sugar people. Just keep it in check.

0:40 this is simply wrong. a calorie surplus leads to fat gain, it doesn’t matter what you eat

I can't eat coconut flour or coconut flesh in any way, is there a substitute? Can I just use unbleached whole wheat flour?

Hi EclecticNostalgia! I love your name btw! You can try using almond flour or even lupin flour. If you don't care about carbohydrates, whole wheat flour would work, but it is very high on the glycemic index. If you do sub ww flour, you'll likely need to double the amount of flour. I hope that helps you a bit! xo

Hi Fifi! I would think you would be able to! Try greasing a small mini loaf pan or ramekin and backing it for 12-15 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. I haven't tried this with this recipe, but I think it may work out!

Sugar doesn‘t equal weight gain and that‘s a really dumb mindset

Hi Janina Jolie. If you can eat sugar and lose weight then all the power to you! I just know that for myself I've been able to keep the weight off and enjoy delicious food by replacing sugar and flour with protein and fiber.

Actually.. First, sugar is void of nutrients and crowds out other nutrient-dense food that your body needs to thrive. When you start your day with a Frappuccino or blueberry scone, you’ve missed the opportunity to eat (i.e. crowded-out) a nutrient-dense meal like eggs or a protein-based smoothie. Next, sugar doesn’t fill you up or satiate your appetite, and often leaves you hungrier an hour later than before you ate. Naturally occurring fats do just the opposite. Eating healthy fat not only satiates your appetite, it contributes to healthy organs and glowing skin. Protein also satiates your appetite better than anything! And finally, excess sugar consumption can spike your blood sugar out of the normal healthy range setting off a cascade of insulin ups and downs - often referred to as the “high-glycemic rollercoaster” - which can cause you to feel even more hungry, have mood swings (hangry anyone?!), store excess fat, and worse, lead to metabolic syndrome (aka pre-diabetes) and even type 2 diabetes. So, yes, sugar causes weight gain.

I really appreciate your kind answer and it‘s totally fine that you want to help people based on your own experiences and your recipes are really good:) But because of general statements like that some people could maybe start cutting out foods that aren‘t even bad for them and restrict themselves eventhough they don‘t need too because they think it‘s a general truth which of course isn‘t the case. I‘m happy you found they right way for you though:)

Tracy Lea it doesn‘t have to which was my point. Of course it can make loosing weight easier for some people but that doesn‘t apply to everyone:) it was just about generalising it.

Everytime i make these it comes out like a dry sponge. If i put less time on the micro it just comes out half goo lol. Ive tried it like 20 times in increments of 5 seconds and i cant get the thing right. Is it maybe the isolate protein i use? It taste amazing the texture is just... Strange.

Hi Anthony! This recipe was created using Nutralean as the base, if you are using a different protein powder the texture would be affected. You could give a lower heat setting a try!
