This video shows how you can replace the latch for the 4 pin socket connector used in all Nintendo DS, DSi, 3DS, 3DS XL, 2DS, NEW 3DS, NEW 3DS XL, NEW 2DS and NEW 2DS XL consoles, with no soldering required. These sockets are used for holding the ribbon cable for the touch screen, circle pad, microphone and 3d in these consoles. In this video I am working on a NEW 3DS console and the socket with the broken latch is for the touch screen. This is the easiest method for replacing these and anyone can do this repair with only a couple tools that are inexpensive to own.
