Hey everyone, welcome back to the channel! Today, Pablo and I joined forces with Ben Netterfield, our Equestrian Performance and Mindset Coach to dive into something essential for show jumping: improving the quality of our canter, maintaining rhythm, and perfecting our line.
Ben talked us through how the little adjustments make a big difference in our ride, and how we can build ours skills to elevate the canter before, during, and after a jump.
As Ben says improving the canter for jumping, it’s all about rhythm, energy, and balance and this isn't something you can force. You’ve got to repeat this process over and over-like a thousand times-so it becomes second nature.
Eat, sleep and repeat and you'll start to feel the difference in your horse's canter and how easily you approach those bigger fences. Trust the process, and remember, it’s all about that delicate balance between power and rhythm.
