Bullshit. Most people are fat from too much bread AND butter (FACT). I'll show you world class athletes under 10% body fat whose main fuel source is carbs, (both refined and unrefined). The truth is most people are too sedentary and the carb slows down the body's incentive to burn fat. When in fact, if you became more active, the carb becomes the fuel that burns the fat. I did Keto and IF for 2 years but could never get as lean as I am now on a high carb, high protein, low fat diet.

You got one wrong and missed a big one. Got it wrong: they fortify bread because during the civil war they discovered they taking the germ out would make the bread last longer… unfortunately it also removed all the nutrients. Everyone got sick and congress past a law that they had to add back in the things that they knew they removed in the 1800s. If you buy bread with the germ- which is what whole grain USED to mean, it has to be eaten quickly or refrigerated…. Because real food isn’t shelf stable. The thing you left out- “whole grain” doesn’t mean much. In the US, it means practically nothing. I have a non-keto friend that spends some time in Europe, and as he puts it- in Germany or France, they couldn’t legally sell what we eat in the states as “bread.” It’s just not the quality of food that they allow. While I don’t know that to be a fact, because I have never been to either country, I do know that real bread goes bad and must be refrigerated or frozen if it is going to be around for more than a couple days. 🤷♂️

Bread in the bible is good. It's just that most of the bread in the US is utter rubbish. Someone mentioned in the thread that some of the ingredients in our bread would never be allowed in Europe. In fact there are a lot of things the US allows in food that are illegal in England. I'm British and my friends in the UK tell me this all the time.
