We almost skipped this place on our South Korea trip, but we're glad we didn't. We got to try live octopus and sea pineapple for the first time. It was a thrilling and guilty pleasure... adrianvideoima...
Getting There by Train
We took the train across the Han River and reached the huge fish market. There were countless stalls selling all kinds of seafood.
Choose Our Fresh Seafood
A vendor spoke to us in English and sold us live sea abalone. She also made us taste raw sea pineapple, which was salty and soft. We bought octopus and prawns, but not the expensive crab. She took us to another stall for more sashimi.
Eating Our Seafood at a Restaurant
We went upstairs to a restaurant where they sliced the octopus and grilled the rest. We also had sauce, garlic, chili, and kimchi. The octopus was still moving and sticking to everything. We drank Soju with our meal.
You Should Visit Noryangjin Fish Market in Seoul
It was a great experience at Noryangjin Fish Market. It was unique and memorable. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Seoul.
