The problem with most Japan food reviews from English speakers is that there's no indication that the reviewer has base knowledge of what's being consumed. This is a great video. You really have a grasp on what you're eating and your reactions are genuine. The descriptions are simple, straightforward, yet imaginative. And I can get a real sense of how great that pudding is for example - and I want it! A++ review. A new subscriber to the channel!
I have only been watching your videos for about a week, which seems to cover one or two years of your history in Japan. Tonight your video was much better than some others because you were explaining in detail what it was. Actually, some more detail is possible. If you and hubby are near Shinjuku, give me a ring.

Thank you! How did you get that amazing eye contact skills? Impressed!
It is the best to have wagashi while sitting next to cherry blossom trees, which gives a vibe of Spring.🌸 Moreover, both pudding and mochi are the signature traditional treats/sweets/candies of Japan, my family and I like to have them.
お疲れ様でした! Next time I go to Atami, I want to buy an bean paste pudding.

それでは、また🎵🌸 Good evening.😀 Even so, what I regretted this time was that even though I was born and raised in Japan I knew very little about Japanese sweets💦 One of the charms of this video series is that you can rediscover Japanese food culture while enjoying it, and I really learned a lot, including Mrs. Skye's British English.👀✨ For now, next time I call my parents, I would like to ask them what kind of Japanese sweets they like. Thank you again for this fun and entertaining video. See you soon.🎵🌸

When you come to Hakodate (函館), please try squid yokan (イカようかん) of Yanagiya (柳屋). イカようかん is too big for a person's snack, but you can share it and have happy time with your family or friends chatting about the look and the taste of イカようかん.
