I finally bought a couple of these relay boards after months of thinking about it. Rated at up to 220 vac input, until I tested it, I wasn't positive the unit would function with just 120 vac; but it did. The momentary push button switch with the long stem in the upper right corner on the left initiates the lower set-point by holding it long enough for the LED display to flash, then it becomes the default down button and the right momentary the default up. Just stop at the desired setting and it locks in after a second or two. The same procedure applies to the right momentary switch for setting the upper set-point. AC output is provided through the N.O. contacts of the 12v dc relay when ever battery input voltage is below the lower set-point setting; and the relay remains energized until battery input voltage reaches the upper set-point setting at which point the relay drops out. Due to capacitance there is a little delay in the relay change of state at the lower set-point, but virtually none when the upper one is reached. I plan to use this board to switch six 2A 12v chargers plugged into a power strip for a six-battery bank of deep-cycle 12v lead-acids. My plan is to try to use them to supplement the drop-outs of the solar charge controllers I already have connected to the bank.
