Fees are a big big deal. So so many youtube ebay sellers are out there selling plush they pick up for a reported "50 cents" then sell at, say, $12.95 plus shipping. Some sell with promoted listings so the fees run almost 25% of the total. In the end they may still make a $8-$10 "profit" but there is still the time factor, vehicle expense, packing supplies etc.

If a corporation asks to round up or donate I say no. Why should they get the write off. Best was Veterans Day, VFW was outside of the bagel place and asked. I donated a dollar and they seemed ticked, I told him I'm getting breakfast for my father who did 3 tours in Vietnam and mother who worked at the VA in the 70s. He asked me to thank them.

There is a potential difference with eBay in fees as they do give you a discount on shipping. A lot of times this covers the final value fee they take from the shipping as well as the shipping materials depending on what you get off etc. If you factor that in I think it really puts eBay ahead, especially when you factor in the exposure on eBay. Just my two cents! Thanks for the video!

12:50 James Last was a German and not a Rock Star. He began playing the piano for G.I.'s. in German Clubs and ended up leading an orchestra. He played and arranged dance music accompanied by an orchestra. Very popular in Germany. I think he moved to the U.S. and died there as well.

I hate telling them no just because I know those poor cashiers at goodwill get in trouble for not hitting certain amounts of people rounding up. I used to work there for 4 years and it had me banging my head against the wall every day trying not to get written up. It's ridiculous. Also our goodwill CEO makes 6 figures but pays employees garbage and overcharges for dirty broken worthless merchandise then has the audacity to ask for more money at the register. No thanks. Sorry it's soapbox of mine because in the 4 years I worked there my total amount of raises over that time wasn't even a whole dollar. Barely Min Wage the whole time even being full time. And this was way before the pandemic. Now their prices are through the roof even more and they took away the dollar color of the week. Now it only goes to half off and no lower.

what we pay any platform is based on their pool of potential customers. Stronger customer base = I'll pay more. in my case, I am in an obscure category, vintage bicycle parts. So eBay is the way to go for me. Add the discount for TRS, and its not bad.

That fee on sales tax is never high, but it always stuck in my craw. Also bear in mind that eBay at least charges higher fees for some categories. The question is: do any sites protect their sellers from consumer fraud? eBay finally seems to have gotten the message and has started to protect sellers, but it was too little too late for me. I was outta there.

I just realized eBay is killing my small sales with their fees. I sell sports cards and for a $2 card I am paying $0.54 per item which is over 25%....I do however like all of the discounts eBay offers on ground shipping for larger items I ship. Just seems like the fees are unbalanced. Now I understand why so many people sell cards on Twitter and Facebook group sites.

Well, my question to you is, is it better to run auctions or do BIN listing? Or is it better to do one or other for specific type of items? Side note, 5$ on that skateboard was a killer deal. Should be able to.get at leastb 60-80 for it. Love the channel and happy to be here!

Here in the UK the thrift stores/charity shops all seem to ask if you want to round up, then they ask for a 25p donation. Some even have their own lottery and try and sell you tickets. I'm fine with rounding up most of the time but the donating thing seems a bit odd as I've just spent a load of money with them, feels a bit awkward saying no but If I'm in 15 shops a day the donation amount really adds up over a month.

The young man was very articulate about it but most don't know any details. I am a natural giver, but these businesses are getting out of hand, IMO. I guess they aren't making enough profit to support the scholarships they're offering to employees & need the public to subsidize their programs?
