I have both kinds of tubular upper and the stock ones for my 70 Rallye and car needs fully assembled front weight on the wheels and see what the actual travel is and where it is static, i just looked at our Lemans to see typical A frame angle on the upper, if I have issues once car is fully together have basically all three options for up top

I was gonna leave the bump stops out as well until fully weight travel is observed (before shocks go on)

Also can just cut the bump stop in half as well after I evaluate mine later, I just need it rolling right now

I have those with no issues. But I used tall ball joints . With weight you will only get like 3 inches of travel . I been racing with them for years now no issues.

Check out clunkers and classics he has the same issue. Makes sense that tall ball joints could fix it. Still as sold it won’t work.

@@kongsgarage7157 I ran them with the bump stops and ball joints it had once the suspension settles in it's fine but you end up with 3 inches of travel they are more for road course cars then drag cars. I found this out because I didn't add the taller ball joints until 2 years later when I made more power and I didn't have enough travel for weight transfer

Thanks for the video. I'll wait until I get the engine in and on the ground then drive it to see if the control arms hit or ride bad before I replace them. Ad says they fit 64 to 72. I didn't buy the 2 inch drop ones, I wanted mine to be factory height. Cool cars you got there!

My springs are drop springs. These aren’t drop arms or spindles. I’ll be watching. Hope you can make them work. My ad said these would work for 64-72 also. I like your long videos. I put them on while I’m working on my junk.
