The fact that you used the Speedrunning anthem of Summoning salt makes this video even better ! Great work !

Incredible! Best demonstration of EbSynth I've seen so far. And I never thought about using layers, thanks for this insight! :)

This video is amazing. I’ve watched it like 5 times now. It seriously inspires me to make something with EbSynth. Imagine the possibilities for 2D/3D hybrid animation! This could usher in a new Golden Age for independent animation!

I love you for making this I am working on a production and we literally speculated this exact video and the fact that you're also going to work on facial animations is precisely what we want to work on as well thank you seriously.

this is incredible. THankyou for the walk thru. I've been experimenting (prior to seeing your video) with ebsynth but not getting great results. I will try using UE5 and follow your tips. I really love that it looks like ink, watercolor.

I'm hoping you pass on some tips on how you managed to get such a stable output from EbSynth :-)

It's difficult to pinpoint what exactly works without comparing with different techniques. I could do a complete tutorial if there's enough interest, but here are a couple of pointers: - 48 fps; - layered composition with transparent background using Unreal (as opposed to video footage with green screen); - little to no uniform surfaces; - accurate keyframes (closely following the features of the source footage is very important). I'm under the impression that people who use EbSynth don't realize how accurate the software is.

@@atrytone.production That's really appreciated. Here's my effort. I got reasonable results but had to limit it to about 100 frames per keyframe. Haven't tired 48fps. kzitem.info/news/bejne/2ZCo231vgZGflKQ

Just so I am understanding correctly… You exported these images individually and had a graphic designer make them look drawn? If so, how expensive is that? Also, how long did this who project take?
@atrytone.production

I exported only one image per shot, and a designer drew over them, correct. How expensive? It depends of the artist. You could do it yourself, you could hire an amateur or you could work with a seasoned professional. For a simple short you could be looking at a day of work, for more complex scenes much more, so it's hard to say. I'd say the project took about a month of work (a little less) but it lasted longer than that as we weren't full time on it.

Pretty cool. Not really much a breakdown of your Ebsynth pipeline or a rough approximation of how many compositing passes you had to do to get the desired effects.

considering most multi million dollar studios produce equal caliber poop in there final productions of 3d animations mixed with 2d these days to what your saying is unworthy for use i say seems A-class to me rofl sorry im just bitter seeing all the hybrid trash being put out if it was actually blended nicely with the majority of 2d variants in the series/film i can probably count all of the successes from a technical point on one hand
