Yes, mine kinked at the top and started leaking and the fuel filter was clogged. Replaced the hose and filter then rerouted the hose and ran fine. !!!

Have similar issue with Pb770-t. The fuel filter is pristine, but it's almost as if the 50:1 mix never gets hot or vaporous enough for the brand new sparkplug. When it actually would start, it basically needs a lot of shaking the fuel tank and continuously (tiring) pulling the cord for about 6 minutes nonstop. Really only full throttle (triggersqueeze) seemed to get the carburetor to finally get enough pressure to start. Once started, it would run for 20 mins or more. I also live in a very humid area

Carbureted two stroke yard equipment engines do not have a fuel return line. Those equipped with two lines have a primer/air purge line and a primary supply line. There is no fuel returned to the tank. Fuel return lines are found on EFI and diesel engines.

I do agree with you to a certain extent. It is technically an air purge line, that said during then purge process excess fuel is returned through these lines once the carb is purged. It doesn't return while running but it does when you prime it.

Thanks, not sure what Echo was thinking! And the shop is awesome to have! It was just built in the video so it probably looked very organized!lol It does have a flatscreen in the corner, WiFi, a desktop computer and heat for the winter now! If you watch some of my newer videos you might see some differences! As always thanks for watching!

Just got this same blower give to me and it will not start - I'm soaking the carburetor as of now for a couple of days and I'll blow it out too . Hopefully this may work instead of buying a new carburetor . Anyway I'll play with this idea .....great video too - thanks ....

i had the same problem execpt I had the soft line(intake) would not fit properly on the nipple. I had to grind the indent around the nipple to get it to fit properly. It was so loose it was sucking air preveting full pressure to carb.

Thanks for the video. I just inherited one of these PB500T from 2014 and it appears to have never been used or barely. The air filter is pristine. Has gas & oil in the tank but I can't get it to start. No sputtering, nothing. Could that happen if the gas/oil is old?
@crazyjdkid
5 жыл бұрын
It could! Most oil mixes have stabilizers in them to try to make them last a bit longer. Generally with old gas it would just run rough and sputter. I would take the plug out and make sure it is clean. Then spray something like carb cleaner or starting fluid down the throat of the carb. You can dribble some fuel down the throat to and see if it fires. If it dos it is probably old gas and dirty carb.
@opentrunk

@@crazyjdkid Thank you. I drained the old fuel, mixed some new fuel, and got it going. Seems like a nice machine, way more powerful than my battery operated blower, but kind of heavy on the old back!

@crazyjdkid

Rarely is it just a spark plug. You can try rubbing the tip with a wire brush to clean it off to see if it helps. Most likely a fuel issue.

Check the spark plug and the spark arrestor, that is probably most likely your problem! I would start with the arrestor!
@mtnmotoadv

Carb probably needs adjusted. Even just temperature changes can affect how efficient a carb will perform.. colder the air the more dense it'll be, therefore you need more fuel otherwise you'll be running lean.

I have the PB 500H running great for 3 to4 years now has oil/fuel spraying out of exhaust. What could be the problem?
@crazyjdkid
7 жыл бұрын
+Brian Davis I have had this happen before on a PB 500H. On the one I fixed the fuel return line on the tank had came loose, so I reconnected it. Then pulled the spark plug and gave it a fee pulls to clear out the cylinder. And finally removed the spark arrestor from the muffler because it was choked up with oil. Hopefully this helps and thanks for watching!

I shared a very similar view for the longest time about echo equipment. I own two, this blower and a PE-225. I like their build quality and the use of a lot of metal. But their fuel delivery systems have a lot to desire. I have done a carb kit on this blower as well, about a year ago.And I see that a common problem on most echo products involves the fuel lines or carb. This blower clipped the very end of my commercial work, but has since been used to clean the local high school stadium bleachers about 30 times(full throttle for about 2 hours, takes a couple fuel refills,I donate the equipment and fuel to use).But my Husqvarna/Kawasaki blower is used too, and it doesn't have trouble and it's a 2007.I don't know, maybe I use it too much, it's the only machine I don't winterize as it's used all year round.Unfourtunatly warranty doesn't cover anything to do with fuel delivery.

all manufacturers of gas equipment use cheap hoses, so you fix it or buy a new one every few years , because of ethanol in gas
