I have worked as a dishwasher many times and this is ridiculous. Nobody works that slow, besides ive never worked with ecolab products. Every place i've worked at used Silver Soak.

There is a solid block of product in that wall mounted dispenser that is slowly dissolved by a spray of water that then flows out the tube in the bottom. The heavy dye color is so that it is easily noticeable when the block needs replacing. I’m thinking that each block used to last us over a week maybe two, at the nursing home where I used to work. The facility I work at now is a bit more liberal with the stuff, but it still doesn’t need replacing very often

I dont like ecolab dish washer machine. dishes must be clean before putting it into the dishwasher machine. what is the point of putting them into the dishwasher machine if the dishes are clean already. by the way, the guy in the ecolab video training, is too too slow. is frustrating waching it chilling. a real restaurant keeps dishwasher in fast peace mode.
@MidnightMarrow

Because the machine isn't a "Dish washer" it's a sterilizer, the water gets far hotter and runs the dishes through longer than you could ever do by hand. You scrape and spray the food off, the machine then ensures the greases and anything that would otherwise live on the dish is destroyed both thermally and chemically. Not a hard concept and most people think because it's a "machine" that it washes the fucking dishes, that's what YOU'RE there for.

@@MidnightMarrow not only that, but you have to keep the water in the machine as clean as possible also.

@@joeb-5150 yep. Because if it’s a single compartment dishwasher, the wash water is recycled from one cycle to the next. Some of the dirty water from the first cycle will be replaced by the hot sanitizing rinse water, but the rinse cycle does not run enough water to replace 100% of the water in the tank.

Yes, the person demonstrating how to use this product was doing so in a slow and careful pace. So that people watching should be able to understand after one watching. When you learned a new skill at school did the teacher demonstrate in a slow and careful manner, or did they bring an expert known for speed to demonstrate.

LOL Scrape the flatware, rinse it good, soak it, wait 5 minutes, rinse it again, wash it, sort it, rack it again, wash it again, then transfer to the third rack. Time-consuming, product-consuming, water-consuming, and energy-consuming. My nerves are shot watching this slow-poke. LOL

I seriously just don’t even bother separating the silverware either. There’s no point to that when the hosts have to polish them one by one anyways.
@MidnightMarrow

Yeah no, throw the shit directly in the pre-soak or ever just water if that's what you have, spray it good whilst shaking the wares to remove as much shit at possible then run it through. Might be worth while depending to throw the rack back through and when done set to the side to dry. If you're letting dirty dishes by to the point that they're bringing shit back you would essentially be contaminating all the other clean dishes. I agree that the guy in the video was painstakingly slow but that doesn't mean YOU fuckers have to do less quality work in terms of "just getting it done". Quality and speed are things that can be had if one cares, no one fucking cares I know, give the paycheck to people that do.

I put hot water from the dishwasher into a bus tub and have the servers and bussers place silverware there. The fact that the silverware is pre-soaking in hot soap water means that all that crap from every piece will easily fall off once they're sprayed and sent through the machine. I do the same with BnB's and soup cups. NO ONE wants to wash any piece one by one... NO one does that anyway!

@@vidfreak727 I don’t know about where you are, but where I live and work, health department codes require washing twice. Once flat and loosely and in a shallow layer, then a second time in cylinders or flatware racks … loosely packed, and handles down. Hand polishing can be done with a clean cloth after the flatware has fully air dried.
