Any reason why you skipped the timing chain tensioner activation tap before final valve cover placement?

There has been numerous revisions on that timing chain tensioner. I would only use the latest.

how do you know the #1 piston is in time and also the cams? Can't the cam sprockets be put on and then removed and put on again 180 out because of the two opposite slots? What clock position should the #1-cylinder cam lobes be pointing at?
@onewhocollects6781
Жыл бұрын
It's been some time, but I think the slot on the cam is off center so the sprocket can only go on one way.

Your colored links lined up on the timing marks after 2 rotations? I have 2.2 vvt and mine never line up after 2 rotations. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong or the vvt is different? Also having a crank no start issue.

You're right. The colored links won't, I was referring to the timing marks on the sprockets being at the same angle after 2 rotations.

@onewhocollects6781

step 1. 22 Ft-lbs. step 2. 155 degrees. the two small bolts at the front are 25 ft-lbs. I don't know the sequence.

Would be great if you gave the torque specs to the cylinder head bolts.
