Ayampe looks like a nice small town. I love how green as lush it is. The Ecuadorian people are very friendly. That's a place we will definitely consider visiting.

I live in Quito, and I had no idea that this place existed. I am friends with many Quechua Indian folks, and I am going to mention Ayampe to them. One of them will serve as my guide.

Hi I wonder ,how much you pay for rent there ,for a week. I live in Canada and plan to move to Manta...but I'm fall in love with the place you're now. Thank you if you answer me. Love your videos, My English is no good, sorry! I'm from Uruguay, (Spanish speaking. ) 😘

Hi! We will likely do a cost of living vlog in the near future, but weekly rentals range from $150-$350 depending on what you’re looking for. Definitely go for Airbnb, as you can find places with kitchens and other amenities. But you may be able to find cheaper hotel/hostel accommodations by walking around the town. Your English is very good! And we would love to visit Uruguay someday :)

So, I have been watching all the Ecuador related channels that I can find, and one recurring theme about Ecuador, no matter where the KZitemr seems to be filming from, is "cloudy and overcast". It just seems like there is not that many bright sunny days on the West coast of Ecuador. You guys channel, and Amelia and JP, and Our Life Unknown, and even Ace Live have lots of videos in Ecuador where it is not very sunny at all. There is nothing wrong with that. Your videos are awesome ! I just think that my original dream of coming down there and experiencing "Sunny Southern California vibes at 30 cents on the dollar in Ecuador" is not very realistic lol.
@EricandSarah
3 жыл бұрын
That is a very valid observation! It’s definitely less consistently sunny than we were expecting here as well. There are MANY microclimates though, so you can research some coastal towns that get more sun than others. That being said, we are currently in the dry season, which means cloudy most days on the coast (and sunny inland). Dec-May is the rainy season but there’s significant sun every day as we experienced most days in Mompiche (seemed to end in April for us this year though). This is why “snow birds” love it so much because they escape the winters back home and come here for the sun :)

@@EricandSarah Ecuador has 2 seasons: Dry season which starts approximately in May and ends in November and rainy season which starts approximately in December and ends in April. In dry season it does not rain or rains occasionally, the temperature drops a little and the coasts remain cloudy (average 77 °F). In the rainy season, it rains almost every day in the interior, but on the coasts it remains clear and sunny, the temperature and humidity rise (average 95 °F) and mosquitoes and other insects proliferate.

I think that is because its not summer there, what we call summer in the US it starts there in December, Jan & Feb these are the months to go to the beach for them.

I lived on the beach of Ecuador for 8 years, in that part of the country if you want the sun it’s from January to May, the rest of the year is overcast.

We didn’t sleep with a mosquito net in Ayampe! There weren’t many mosquitos when we were there but it does depend on the season and how close you stay to the jungle.
