I love the eccentricity of humanity. Here's a guy- in a dress, who seems to be a larger than life celebrity, someone perhaps too 'cool' to do ordinary things. But here he is with a very old fashioned hobby so many of us can relate to. Watching this I remembered the long, timeless days of making scenery with my dad, getting the tracks clean, building rivers and mountains and rail yards, the quiet companionship and irreplacable intimacy of sharing a hobby with people we love. Nice one Eddie.

That was very emotional. How lovely to honour someone like that. Both of my parents were evacuated. Mum went to a family farm; my grandma got home after a difficult journey involving a long walk to the village, a bus to Worcester, a train to Birmingham, a tram to the edge of the city, and another walk to the village. Waiting for her was a Telegram telling her to collect her daughter who had not stopped screaming! So my grandma did the return journey, stayed the night, and mum was home in less than 24 hours! Dad did better, he managed a week before being called home, his mother couldn't cope without her servant! It's the little stories that make history come alive, like Eddie's dad and his grandma. Such a thoughtful touch.

Do you really think that or are you just trolling? Which model railway are you talking about btw given that there's two shown? Why do you think (whichever one you're talking about) that it's terrible? If it's the first one (the snowy one) then (imo) you're talking nonsense.

Thought the planes didn't look great, think I could do a better Dornier bomber although actually might be a Junkers 88. Still they're not the main focus here as it's a railway model.

@@jamescollins3647 we're all different James... and as for Eddie, it must take amazing guts to be true to who you really are...
