ability to manipulate the space when defenders try to interpret your decision. if a defender cannot figure out your next movement or intention they cannot retrieve possession. and even if they can, balance, change of direction and strength on the ball can make a path for you to progress, especially with a good touch in the direction you intend to aim for. visualization of the space around is something pros work effortlessly to perfect as the game is constantly changing every second so you must place yourself in the right place to recieve the ball in order to cater for your ability on the ball.

hes not 'tripping' them really, its called ball protection, youre getting yourself in the way of the opponent from the ball, its not easy, it doesnt always work, and its not so much unfair and more punishing to those who think they can take the ball off you. a 'trip' would definitely be a foul, if you stick out your leg or raise it to trip someone over, what hazard is doing is running into their path, catching clumsy people off guard

This is not really impressive. Today's defenders are terrified of getting physical with the opponent, because of all the pussy shit diving as soon as the ball runner gets touched!!! People are so ignorant these days and are sheep, they just follow bullshit trends or fashions and fail to look into the past and find real quality in everything in general. Fact is !aradona used to be hacked severely at the legs and charged into to dispose him of the ball but he was not only immensely skilled, balanced and but also very very strong and use his body to penetrate the defence with his physique, time and again.

I completely agree with you!!! KZitem gave me recommendations for Liverpool's matches of the late 70s with Toshack, Keegan, Dalglish, etc. - this is an impressive sight of constant struggle with very unyielding opponents, quick breakthroughs, shots, combinations and cruel tackles, including from all defenders, and Souness there is the most beast: he played on He was on the verge of a foul, but he didn't feel sorry for himself either. And I'm not saying this out of nostalgic feelings, because I saw these matches for the first time due to age. And Maradona managed to become even stronger and more agile in the fight against such monster defenders
