Now, I'm an avid music lover, listener, and don't know the model numbers of musical instruments aside from a few names like Strauss piano, Stradivarius violin,..but sitting here, listening to him after all these decades, spout off on how he was strolling, shopping in the music store, and came across that keyboard with guitar neck,.is just priceless,...he didn't stutter, or pause to remember, just, ahh it was a Ar...,the minds of him, his brother, the musicians , like he said of the 60's, 70's, were just incredible,..and loved how he talked about the recording room, with, huh "reel" tape everywhere,..young people I think take it for granted, in the digital time we're in, they don't know the reel to reel times,..having a mini version of that in a cassette was of course an amazement, huh but anyone who had one can tell you, it had the same pitfalls, and far more difficult to fix because it was miniaturized, I remember countless times when my walkman would jam,..I open it up to find the tape clumped up,..take it out, and because this tape, shoots every tape was a prize tape, I had to take the time to unravel it,.take a pensil gently, carefully like I was doing brain surgery, align the tape back up, and it wasn't always just simple to do that, sometimes the tape texture itself was kinked,..you had to flatten it unkink it,..watching Edgar go through how involved it was working to make the music,..ohh and how awesome is that, that he worked with Billy Preston, Joe Walsh,..he's just so casual about working with these great musicians,..like, ohh yeah one night I was on stage with Billy Preston,..like ohh yeah I saw my neighbor,..it still amazes me how everyday it was for artists back then to just strike up and work together,..they just did it,..no fuss no fowl,..and even if they didn't make an album together, or tour together, they rubbed off on each other,..look how Edgar says the next time he saw Billy Preston, he was using that very guitar neck, keyboard,..they didn't think of it as copying, it was just an exchange of ideas,..the talk box wasn't just owned by one, many of them used it, besides Peter Frampton,..it just caught on,..such a joy watching Edgar,..when I watch these reactions, with these young people, I always tell them in the comments, for those groups still around,..to go see them while they yet live, and still tour, perform,..so many are gone, like Johnny Winter, ..glad we oldsters lived in this time,.and were able to witness what young people are now starting to realize are masterpieces, and masterful musicians,..Godspeed, Peace ✌

This is the first time I have ever watched an interview with Edgar Winter, and it is probably the best one I have ever seen. What a nice, pleasant, down-to-earth gentleman! I had a cassette tape as a teenager of one of his albums that I literally wore out playing! He is in a league with Prince and Beck being immensely talented playing so many different instruments! I would absolutely love to meet him!

It's amazing listening to Edgar - he seems as excited talking about music as he was performing back in the 70s when I had the pleasure of seeing him a couple times, along with Rick Derringer, Ronnie Montrose, and Dan Hartman. Edgar is just as passionate about Frankenstein now as he was then. Best interview style ever - just let Mr. Winter talk :).

I saw his brother, Johnny, twice at the airport in London about 20 yrs ago. He was with about 5 other guys who I didn't recognize. I just looked. Thought about saying something or maybe asking for an autograph, but I just let them be. I figured they were tired from traveling and performing and didn't want to bug them.

Hi Ed, Johnny Winter was a great guitarist and a good man. He and Edgar played at the Nashville Speedway all those years ago. They were promoting their latest album, "Together." Johnny got out of a car parked next to us. He got me and my friend in free. "Just follow me, boys." We walked right in like we knew what we were doing!! Thanks Johnny..

@@rickycarter7154 At the concert in Fort Lauderdale 06 I think it was, my son arranged with Paul Nelson for me to meet Johnny in his trailer the man was so humble I was taken aback when I was offered his autograph, I didn't expect that didn't even cross my mind, I said I didn't bring anything for Johnny to sign, I don't remember if it was Paul who said what about your shirt, so I took it off and he signed the back of it. It was a very nice experience
