I saw the Tattoo in Melbourne in 1988 when I was carrying my youngest son..we didn’t know that he had Spina Bifida at the time but he is now the most amazing young man….love him totally.

I went on this particular year too. Coincidentally it’s also the year I learnt how to play the Bugle. As indicated in my profile name. This was my 5th Edinburgh Tattoo that I’d been to watch. I went to the 2000. 2001. 2002. 2004 And 2005 Tattoos. After that I didn’t attend another Tattoo till 2008. Then I did the 2012. and 2018 Tattoos. The 2018 Tattoo i went to, alongside my Boys’ Brigade Company. All the others I went to, were with my mum. I love the Edinburgh Tattoo. I’ll go again eventually.

I do hereby proclaim, both here in the US and around the world, on this the 25th day of October 2022, that no longer will battles be fought with bullets and bombs but bands and other performers shall reign supreme. There will be no blood shed or lives lost among these warriors for their war prizes will be the accolades of the audience gathered to watch them challenge and fight each other on this battlefield known as the Edinburgh Military Tattoo grounds. This enjoyable entertainment war shall occur at the aforementioned location at a time and date to be determined by those who oversee this wonderful event. May we all live in true peace, harmony and kind, caring and loving spirit for one another from this day forward. ❤
