The University of Oregon's radio station used this as their sign-on music, so I woke up to this beautiful music every morning at 6 AM when my radio-alarm went off while I was in grad school from 1971-1973.

I used to play this song in my guitar when I was 10. I remember that I learned to play for it at the time sounded like love. So I learned to play this song because I wanted to impress my classmate, and win her love. I know it has nothing to do with your story, but I just wanted to share the effect of great music on people.

@@ylyl7118 not really, but I did happily try. Got a kiss/ stole my first kiss from her. We stayed friends, until we changed schools, countries and cities. I didn’t regret trying, but I would for sure regret not knowing what would be the outcome if I had tried.

This is the one out of so many on here that was done right! It is such a simple and beautiful piece, that must be played slowly like this. Evokes beautiful memories of days long gone by. My parents laughter, their beautiful lives together, both now gone. First heard it when I was 25, now I'm 62. Such beautiful memories.

Oh they sound so beautiful. I first saw a live orchestra when I was in 3rd grade. I think it was my towns local classical orchestra from the local School of Arts college. And I've been loving classical music every since. You can say it's a 50 yr. love affair. LOL. Nothing like the classics.

Technically, it's not like Liszt or Tchaikovsky. But to play it well, it requires an amazing amount of "you" to be able to pull it off properly. I'm sure your recital was a few months ago, but I hope it went well! :-)

It is a pity that such a nice arrangement is marred in this video by an unacceptable mistake. John McDowell!!! (how about Edward MacDowell) I am surprised no one else would notice.
