This guy has played my favorite character of all time (Fight Club) and every other movie he is in is original and genius. Always exited to see Norton in anything. Also, I love the half utter pride and half utter shame when the audience laughed at the period line on Craigs face. No other audience would have had the balls to laugh at that at any other show. I myself am proud to count myself among you crazy people!!!

That awkward pause by Norton @ 7:30 is probably the best one I've seen

I may not understand Norton's career, but he is a genius nevertheless. For his first movie he received an Oscar nomination, and the next two he made with Woody Allen and Milos Forman. An actor of the highest degree.

Oh dang, thanks for the reminder! I really need to rewatch that, he was truly great in that. And that might be one of his most underrated films. I say that as you may be the only person I've read/heard mention it since I saw it around when it was new. Another underrated one by him is Down In The Valley. I haven't heard much talk about that either. For as great as Fight Club is it'd be nice to see some of his other great works get a boost in visibility among more people. But anyway, yeah definitely gotta go see again Leaves of Grass. You know Another film with an interesting somewhat similar vibe between two thorny twin brother characters is Adaptation with Nicholas Cage. That's one of his best films for me easily. It starts out slow, but eventually goes thru some great unexpected twists at some point for patient viewers. It's written by Charlie Kaufman (also wrote Being John Malkovich and a number of others since). It's my favorite work of his, that I've seen thus far. I am behind in his works, but it'll still remain great regardless.

I've heard he's not the easiest actor to work with, but he seems perfectly nice in these.

I feel like he becomes difficult when the vision of the director doesn't line up with his vision of the film. Because it's not like he has difficulties with all directors. Like I haven't heard anything bad from movies like Fight Club or Birdman, and Wes Anderson must not find him difficult because they've done multiple movies together and keep doing movies together.

I have a friend who met him at a wedding in NYC. Apparently he's moody. My friend said you would expect him to have any kind of conversation, with a sparkling anecdote type of thing. Instead he was dry, and uninteresting.

@@denisepaulsenful Maybe he's shy. And your friend is just an acquantance so Ed doesn't need to be enthusiastic talking to your friend.

That makes him moody that he's normal and not playing to a crowd? At a wedding, he's there for the wedding party, not for your friend to entertain.

@@denisepaulsenful we tend to think actors live to entertain us in real life too, edward was probably minding his business at that wedding, maybe he wasnt feeling very good, he's a person, not a puppet
