I was at my Grandma's house when this happened. She loved the Jays so much. She was absolutely stunned when this happened. But afterwards, we celebrated! One of my happiest memories of her. RIP, Grandma. I miss you every day.

In the midst of COVID-19, I just had to return to this happy moment when our Edwin had that great 3-homer hat trick! No matter what uniform he wears, he'll always be a Blue Jay! Loved seeing the hats flying onto the field and Edwin not quite sure why! The hat trick has an interesting tradition and although normally attributed to hockey, it was a lovely sight when it was recognized by the Jays fans! We miss you Edwin and that amazing 2015 team!

I am so jealous of Toronto fan as I was one of the very few huge Edwin backers while with my Cincinnati Reds. His adventures at third base were full of throwing into the 9th row first bases seats but his bat was suited as a DH. Saw his last Reds HR and it still hasn't landed in those upper deck seats in left. And as a hockey fan, this is one baseball game I wished I had attended. Go cyclones!!!

Great to see the Edwin love. Was blessed to have him an Indian. The man just produces. Hate seeing him bouncing around from team to team though, would have been rather special to have kept him in Toronto for good...but that's sports these days. It's a business more than it is a sport anymore. Sad. And we're about to be losing Lindor too. Smh, wish there were a fix for these things. Generations of fans need these icons to stay put where they should be. Cal Ripkin an Oriole, Johnny Bench a Red, Ozzie Smith a Cardinal, and Mike Schmidt a Phillie. That's how it should be. All time greats sticking with their teams.
@PrazMaster

Love this tradition. I know it's done at all hockey games when a guy scores 3 goals, but I'd love to see this done at every baseball game when a guy hits 3 home runs or at a football game when a guy scores 3 touchdowns. Probably would be hard to do in basketball since almost everyone on the floor will hit 3 shots lol.

+Zee Dee dude I'm a long time Jays fan and Rogers centre is properly deemed as one of the worst fields along with Tropicana because the structure is awful, and most of the diamond is Astro-turf, fake grass isn't true baseball and it makes people very prone to injury, until they change the look and install real grass and a dirt infield it will be proper, their "grass" is a fucking carpet and grabs ground balls like glue go educate urself ur probably a proud Jays fan since October 2015
