Michael Willever WHOA, WAIT!! It actually says that??!!! I was apprehensive about buying this, but now I’m going for it!! These guys know what’s up! Plus it receives more firmware updates than Orbi which is sad cause you’d think after all these years Netgear would step up their game a litte bit.

So eero bypasses the wifi from my current wifi router, and automatically connects to (in my case) my six wifi security cameras..? And you don't use the same Network name or SSID as your original router has..?

Now that you have had it a few months, is it as good as the video? Would you add another beacon? I badly need something in my 2 story colonial which has terrible WiFi at max Ethernet speed of 150 mb with Comcast. Thought about adding a third beacon. Have you tried the new Pro and any thoughts for a house 3500 sq/ft house 2 levels

Ok question. Does Eero Gen 2 allow device parental control out the box or you have to pay for the service to get that feature. Have smaller kids I need to limit internet time on.

i have a question if anyone could help me out please, well i live in a 3 story house and my room is on the 3rd floor and the router for the house is on the 1st floor, its not that crazy of a router, i think its just a normal like 50$ one and my problem is that i only get one bar of wifi up there for all my devices like ipad, iphone, computer and xbox and i bought an extender and it made no difference so what would i need to have a strong fast signal up stairs? a stronger wifi router with antennas or what?

zollotech keep in mind that a hard wire connection is always most reliable. Expanding a network using access points and bridging them wirelessly will cause a drop in speed with each hop. network engineer here. If you have network jacks throughout your home, look into the eero pro system as that can be hard wired. The beacon extends the signal wirelessly. It's also important to keep in mind that EMI and materials such as plaster and Brick can dramatically decrease wireless signals.

you need at least a modem (brings the internet from the isp) these increase the range of your network. so, if ypu have a router but get deadspots in your home, these would increase your coverage and eliminate deadsots

I am not a techie. I have the older system. You lost me. I cannot follow your video or the instructions the device provided. This is supposed to be compatible with older system (3 base devices). None of the instructions I've looked at explain to get this to work with an older, already installed system.

Thanks, for your answer, David. I'm thinking about replacing my Airport Time Capsule 4th gen. I have a 16TB WD NAS and hear about a router with integrated Plex (Asus?). That seems awesome to me but speed and easy setup is always the priority.

Rui Cunha; I also have an AirPort Extreme with an Airport Express as an extender. My setup works well for streaming. After looking at this video, I'm not convinced to spend $400 to change my network. I also checked Amazon's reviews for eero systems. There are a high % of positive reviews but also several negative ones.

Chris Icton, so you move around the house changing network from network from network? wouldn't be better extending the same network? Just asking because that's not my best knowledge area. Anyway, three AE isn't a cheap deal at all. Much more expensive than the Eero Beacons and even the Eero Pro.
