Dear Friends,
At the young age of 16, Efrat Haimoff Z”L was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. With steadfast Emuna, she remained positive and strong. Efrat chose to focus on the good in her life. Throughout this difficult time period, Efrat was approached by the Make A Wish foundation. Her wish was to have a Sefer Torah dedicated in her zechut. Unfortunately, due to her passing, this wish could no longer be granted.
Efrat's vision and dream was to be able to spread Torah as much as possible and help inspire the spiritual growth of others even while confined to her hospital bed.
Now its up to us to fulfill that vision and dream.
The Gemara States, "כל המלמד את בן חברו תורה כאילו ילדו" Anyone who teaches another person's son Torah… is as if they had fathered him.” (Sanhedrin 19b)
Though Efrat wasn’t zoche to have children of her own; our vision is to continue her legacy by creating a Women's Initiative Torah Learning Center for the young women of our community. By establishing this center of learning, our primary goal is to educate these young women and give them the tools that they need to build a proper Torah home. The nightly programs will include Premarital Education, Taharat Hamishpacha, Shalom Bayit and Chinuch Classes. The Talmidot of this center will be considered Efrat’s children through the Torah that they will be taught and incorporate into the building of their homes.
Your contribution will enable you to partner with us in this special undertaking.
Best wishes, and may we merit to celebrate with this Torah in Yerushalayim.
