OMG... When I saw this stuffed pigeon I flew back in time! In the early 80’ I am 10 and during a tour round the world we stopped in Egypt. My first and best stuffed pigeon was also in Cairo -though mine had green peas with the rice. Then we went on a seven day cruise on the Nile, and the captain was playing a sort of horizontal lyre after dinner outside. He had a missing phalange, and his boat was chosen for the movie *Death on the Nile*... WOW... Fast forward, back in April 2020 with the Covid-19 and the lockdown, I am a private guide stuck in Paris since 8 March, obviously no tours showing up (which means zero income), but thanks to your videos I can travel in my memories -and this stuffed pigeon was something! it is clear that Egyptians love contrasting textures in their food. The national dish is pretty much all carbs, but the form those ingredients take are numerous. The mango drink being chunky, thick and juicy. The dynamite with the crunchy/soft falafel and firm egg peices. Even the cheese pastry with it's 4 types. I hope to try these dishes there someday.

Bro I am so happy that you have visited Egypt, because people like you truly show what it is about, and while we do have the Pyramids and all that, the true goldmine is the food and the people behind it. I wasn't surprised of how you were treated, as an Egyptian myself , I know that Egyptian hospitality is like no other. Glad you enjoyed it man.
