You are absolutely amazing for making this video. I’ve watched a ton of videos on this and this is the most detailed one for a beginner and it truly helped me understand what was going on with the filter and what to do to get it started. Fabulous job and thank you so much! Now please make a video 1-2 months later on how to clean it! :) hahaha

I've been using the Eheim 2217 since 1990. They are great filters. In 33 years this filter has never let me down. Eheim is way way better than Fluval. Please burn your FX-4

I purchased an Eheim 600 a month or so back in June and I am very pleased with it. It has done a fine job cleaning my 60 gallon tank..

You did a great job in this video. (With one hand). The main reason why I shyed away from the eheim filters for years because I heard that the assembly was so hard and frustrating. I'm convinced now I can handle the assembly with no problem, thanks!

Love your explanation! I have classic eheim for some 30 years now…very reliable. If you have a lot of biological media in mesh bags these canisters offer a lot of extra volume compared to the filters with baskets.

Thx for this tutorial. If you did it with one hand while filming and explaning, I should be ok 🤪 👍

Really nice video I have a Juwel 33 gallon, with an internal Juvel M filter and an external Eheim 150 classic. The water since Eheim has been there is obviously cleaner and the fish have stopped dying.

Very well explained, great video. I have used Eheim Classic for many years, I did try others, including more "modern" Eheim and Oase canister filters, but I still find Classic the best. Some things you can just not improve on.

Im gonna give u a tip, you should put your 2 filtres on the same side because they’re created cycle into the tank and avoid dead zones.

I have heavily planted tank. In the past I had one fx4 on one side. This way is better.

@@midwestaquascaping2588 i'm complently sure that there's a dead zone in the middle of your tank. I have a college degree of aquacultor. I did several tests about the correct movement of water. I gave to you an advise. Just remember that dead zone is dangerous and unhealthy for your fish and plants

Eheim Mech is not biomedia, its mechanical. The polishing pad should be under the Eheim Substrat Pro and the carbon above it.

This video could have been 10 minutes shorter if there was less repetition of obvious steps.
