How to prepare :
1. Beat the butter in a bowl until it becomes creamy and white.
2. Add the powdered sugar to the butter and beat until completely combined.
3. Add the eggs and vanilla to the mixture and whisk until the eggs disappear completely.
4. Add the sifted flour to the mixture gradually, and stir from bottom to top until the dough is homogeneous.
5. If you want a pitafour with cocoa, add the sifted cocoa and salt to the flour and stir them together before adding them to the mixture.
6. Place the mixture in a pastry bag.
7. We shape the dough into a rectangular tray, and put it in the refrigerator for 10 minutes to firm up a little.
8. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
9. Bake the pitafour in the oven for 10-15 minutes on a middle rack and with the lower heat only.
10. Let the pitafur cool completely after taking it out of the oven.
11. Melt the chocolate in a water bath, and add a tablespoon of oil to each type of decoration. 12. We use chocolate, ground peanuts, ground pistachios, vermicelli, and coconut for decoration.
13. We put an amount of melted chocolate in a piping bag and use it to stick the decoration on the petit four pieces.
14. We decorate the pitafour as we wish, with different decorations as desired.
