In my experience, doctors do not have a clue about menopause! I ended up in the emergency dept a few times from bad panic attacks, thinking I was having a heart attack etc, had to have a barrage of tests, even radiation pumped into me, ALL NORMAL turns out it was peri-menopause!! I lived in hell for around ten years, the menopause made my life, and my families life, hell. Thank goodness I am post menopausal now but still get flushes and pelvic feelings where I feel like I will have a period, but nothing, I guess that will settle too. Eileen, I have been following you for years, you have been so very helpful, you're a true Gem. xo

I don‘t know if this will help, but there is a product called (in USA) Forever Active HA softgels. I get them here in Germany. Eileen has talked about Hyalouronic Acid, which is helpful to the joints. That’s what this supplement mainly is. Also, I noticed a few years ago that it quite improved my skin (less pimples). This particular product also has ginger oil and turmeric. I am taking it, as I think it generally helps in various ways.

Eileen, I wanted to mention that I think your suggestion of sea buckthorn (called Sanddorn in German) is really helping my bladder infection symptoms and vaginal pain. I‘ve been drinking it mornings and sometimes evenings as a very thick juice (diluted with lots of water). It tastes like sh** (unsweetened as I am taking your advice and trying to cut down on sugars) but I don’t care! It’s not perfect, and sometimes I still get quite severe pain while peeing, but generally I feel it is improved. Also still getting up to pee at night - at least 3 or 4 times and sometimes more. But I also must admit that I do drink at night, as I sometimes don’t manage to drink as much as I’d like during the daytime.

Hi Shelli Yes, this can happen to some women and is usually just due to the way their hormones are changing.
