Yes, you keep the factory leaf springs in the back. And we went with a VanCompass TOPO 2.0. No rear wheel spacers required. As long as you stay with the 225/75/16. Also, we run 60 psi in our rear tires.

Great info Jason. I'm looking to replace the tires on my Honda Element micro-camper and between the Toyo Open Country AT and the Falkens. I've seen both on other vehicles but your video definitely has me leaning toward the Falkens. Would be the same size as yours so I think they would be nice and stable for my much smaller car.

Hello Steve, Jason here. Hope you are doing well. We actually did go with the LT225/75/16. With a load range of E (10 ply) I think what’s throwing it off in the conversation is the AT marking. The AT is the “All Terrain”. I hope this answers, but yes, we have a LT (Light Truck tire) with a E rating.

Hello, thanks for checking in and watching our channel. If you run the 225 7516’s the Falken tires that were using, no spacer or lift kit is required. I referred to it as a zero mod tire upgrade. However, some people have chose to put a spacer in the back. My experience as well as Grant Wilson’s at FreedomVanGo in Florida, is that no spacer is required. I refer to Grant because he is pretty much the authority on the Winnebago Ekko. He has done some pretty basic to extreme things with the EKKO. By the way, thank you very much for watching our channel. I can’t always tell who subscribed but if you subscribed and you’re getting the notifications, we are super grateful it helps build our channel and allows us to continue to try to produce good contact for everyone. Thanks for the quick reply,. What tire pressure are running in the front and rear? Thanks again
@ekkonesters599

@@bareknuckle56 in the rear Dullies, I run 65 psi each tire. In the front I just run recommended pressure which I think is 70 psi it’s on the inside drivers door sticker. I also typically just go off of the PSI of the tire manufacturers recommendation. This is what has worked for us at least for the last, 15,000 miles of our tire journey.

Great information. I had these tires on my Tacoma and they were really fantastic and drive some of the same areas, we visit Bend, Oregon Coast, etc a lot from Spokane. Wife and I are looking at ordering one of these, just learned about them yesterday at one of our local RV shops, did you have to do the lift to fit the tires?
@ekkonesters599
2 жыл бұрын
Hey Erik, thank you for the kind compliments. If you run the 225/75/16 no mods/lift required. Once you go to the 245/75/16 you need a lift. We recommend the BanCompass components Topo 2.0. You’ll need 1” spacers for the rears at hat point as well. If Move that direction just get back with me and I’ll give you some additional detail. I will say this though suspension upgrade is a must. Thanks for subscribing.

@@ekkonesters599 I should've also asked if that was the original stock rim that came with the EKKO or did you have to upgrade it? It looks like the stock one but I thought the stock rim was 16x5.5 for the 205 tires? Basically I'm considering only upgrading the tires this season for better handling in the ice, since we're mostly going to hit up ski resorts, and might do the suspension upgrade next year. I would like to keep the stock rims, but from what I've seen, the max width tire they can take is 215, but I can't find 215's with an E load rating. Thanks for all the help!

Oregon, lovely country. My mother lives in Bend. Was the Falken 225 the widest tire that would fit on the dually? I've heard that it can accommodate the 245 without a spacer. I'd like to put on the widest tire >without< using a spacer on the rear. Also, I don't want to do any pinch weld trimming on the front.
