Have I watched it? That's not a real question. Of course! Was it necessary? Not really. There was nothing in there that added to the story. There were only 2 possibilities: Jesse makes his escape or Jesse dies trying. No big reveals in this movie but It was entertaining.

Glad you enjoyed it man! As Jesse was/is my favourite character from the show, I always wanted him to find peace again after "Felina". All my friends and peers were either nervous or just didn't care about this enough to get excited but I knew Vince would smash it once again. Was such a great epilogue to such a perfect show and all the references/call backs just made it even better.

Honestly, I always thought of Ozymandias as the finale and the final two episodes as Walt’s epilogue. El Camino to me is Jesse’s epilogue. They did enough new here that I felt it was necessary. In fact, I felt it actually made a few scenes in Breaking Bad better with the context El Camino gave us. Todd’s death in BB now feels so much more satisfying. Also RIP to Robert Forster. Fantastic performance to go out on.

This was like having two long lost episodes that they forgot to air. The only thing that really distracted me was how much weight Jesse Plemons gained in the last few years. I wonder how far in advance they knew this was, cause I wonder if he just didn't have time to lose the weight or was like fuck it. Edit to add: I've seen some (stupid) ppl complain that this didn't show us what Skylar and the kids did. Why should it? They wrapped everything up with the family during the show. We know that Sklyar trades Hanks body for immunity, and we know Finn gets Walts money. They have their happily ever after...as much as they could. There were still easter eggs in this movie for the other characters that we didn't get to revisit, and that was good enough for me. Jesse was the only one we had no clue what was going to happen in his future.

I don't think it would have made much sense for Jessie to go see Skylar. This movie was about Jessie's journey. If Vince would have added Walt's family it wouldn't have fit. Vince stayed true to what made BB so great. I didn't want to see extra spectacle just for the sake of it.

I didn't think highly of it. It's basically just another ending, like if Return of the King released one of its endings several years later. It's "Felina" with Jesse Pinkman. And sure, it's nice to see the characters again, but I was hoping for Gilligan to pull the rug from under our feet again and take Jesse into a new direction, and that never happened. So I was left kinda empty.

Don't you think there was a lot of filler and time wasting? Maybe you'd say it fits the plot. I just expected more action or stronger plot for a movie, because it doesn't feel like a movie at points. It feels like a 2hr long episode at times and other times an actual movie. So for me it's mixed.

It was good, don't know if I'd say great, it was great to see the characters again, too much Todd though, could have used less of him. Skinny and Badger killed it as always, great chemistry there. Why didn't they get Rian Johnson to direct El Camino? Oh, that's right----they didn't want *all five seasons* to be squandered by *Ruin* as a sacrificial lamb to engorge his ego. What a missed opportunity. Our expectations could've been subverted, *ruined* trashed and nihilistically retconned. If asked to do it----you know that *THAT* is *EXACTLY* what he'd have done.
