Planning on going up here next week as my first delve into slightly more exposed scrambles (weather permitting, I won't be using rope so I'll only go up when the rock is bone dry😂), with a background in bouldering experience. Thanks for the video, it's great to get an idea of what the climb looks like - looks exhilerating!

It is a bit scary Chris. Done it twice now and was more scared the second time which is this one. You should do it and just take your time as it’s not as hard as it looks. There’s another scramble a bit further up called Matterhorn Ridge which I’d like to have a go at sometime. Thanks for commenting. Cheers 👍

Sorry, only just seen your message. There’s parking quite nearby just a bit further down the road. Or you could park for free near the Blue John Cavern.

I wouldn’t want to do it in wet weather or even in winter where there could be ice on the rock. Are you thinking of doing it? Thanks for commenting. Cheers 👍

Looked pretty awesome. I'm looking for scrambles in the park district to do with a friend. We are both fairly experienced climbers but will have 70L bags on. Do you think it's a good idea?

You can park the car so close there’s no real point in carrying any bag up with you to be honest, or if you needed it to be with you anyway the best thing would be to carry your bags up the path way with you first, leave them up near the top, then a short trip back down to start the scramble, other option would be to leave it at the bottom but with the cars passing it’s safer up top unguarded, still always a risk but most people out enjoying the place are as honest as us
