When I say RL1 Setup, I mean I would lose just a small amount of damage (I do low damage anyway), but everything I used here can be achieved on RL1, with soreseals. And I think no helm and pants :)
I'm sure this fight will be optimized soon (if it hasn't been, yet) but I just wanted to pull this off before she (and the whole DLC) possibly gets nerfed due to all the salt. I wonder if the other bosses really are stupidly hard. FromSoft did lower the difficulty sliders on the base game to entice more players, so I wouldn't be surprised to hear some complaints...
I try to stay close to bait her most parryable attacks. If I dodge too far away, she ends up stopping the combo, giving me less parry chances. The thing is, by limiting myself to a few dodges back, I got hit so many times due to her deceptively long reach. It takes a while to get used to the distance. I found light weight to be very helpful, seems like some of her attacks were made to catch mid rolls.
Another thing that complicates my no-hit attempt, are the glintblades that hover over her. By themselves, there's no problem, but if she does, say, that combo where she winds up and crosses her swords WHILE she has those things up, I have no answer. So my method is to run as far as possible, bait the glintblades, and resume. Her sword combo thankfully has a max range. Sadly it leads to a lot of running (sorry), I found my earlier attempts much less boring to be honest.
I personally feel that this fight is better than Malenia, if you take away the music from both fights. She can tank through hits and retaliate really fast, and she can chain her combos if you input a command too soon after one moveset ends. Her special "GOTCHA" move can be solved intuitively, not relying on items or uncommon movement mechanics, unlike Waterfowl. Many of her attacks are parryable:
0:37 Very annoying, after a certain angle or distance, the parry window on this attack changes. When I see her prepping this, I try to get as close as I can and align myself so she doesn't curve. And when I do a successful parry, it looks like her sword swings through and hits me.
0:40 My best parry opening. The end of the double upward swings, is the reason I choose stay barely close enough for her to whiff her alternative combo (1:15). The initial upward swing is also parryable, but at that close distance, guessing wrong will get me killed
0:56 Double slash, not consistent yet, doesn't feel safe to parry at that distance
3:03 I've parried the end of this combo, still not consistent enough
4:40 I've parried the downward follow up after a dodge, still not consistent enough
