I found your channel like a decade ago when you were uploading Demon's Souls NG+7 runs, it is almost cathartic to see you playing this now. Great gameplay as always. I wouldn't like or play the SOuls games as I do now if it wasn't for you.

Radagon gets kinda scary if you let him live too long after the triple hammer slam, so my set-up here is more about rushing him down and dealing with slugging it out with Elden Beast later since it's honestly the easier part of the entire encounter despite Elden Stars having the potential to lead to some genuinely nasty mix-ups. Radagon doesn't resist fire, so this kind of set-up is really efficient at cutting away at his HP and is fast enough to comfortably take advantage of many openings, the only catch is dual-wielding is really stamina intensive, if you had more you could get away with doing a full combo at the start of the fight. I considered uploading the fights seperately but because you always have to do them in sequence, I think showcasing a set-up that has them both in mind is more helpful (and honest). For instance, a Red-Feathered Branchsword + Twinbird Kite Shield setup would be reliable for Radagon but between Elden Beast's beamspam and Elden Stars, it's very easy to get clipped so it makes it a little too luck-based for my taste. I actually packed Raptor of the Mists to also counter the AoE slam Radagon does 25s in but it came out so much sooner than expected that I just auto piloted a roll instead. As a result, I had to deal with more attacks after the triple slam when he'd usually die after a full combo afterwards. As for Elden Beast, I found him... kinda cooperative this attempt? There's a couple attacks I pack Raptor of the Mists against him for but he didn't end up doing them, or rather he used one of them while Elden Stars was running amock so I had BHS for it. The other is the melee-range purple cloud slam. Rather the try to not get hit, I just concede that I'm going to take chip damage and use Divine Fortification to mitigate it as much as possible. Another note about Raptor of the Mists - try not to attack immediately after the evasion is performed (unless you know it's safe) because it seems to cancel the i-frames. If I didn't wait a second after evading the third hit of Radagon's triple slam and tried to immediately perform an attack, I'd end up taking the hit and dying instead. Equipment: Flame Art Broadsword - Raptor of the Mists Flame Art Lordsworn's Staight Sword - Bloodhound Step Dragon Communion Seal Imp Head (Corpse) - +2 Faith Commoner's Garb - +1 Faith Two Finger's Heirloom - +5 Faith Radagon's Soreseal - +5 Vigor, Endurance, Strength and Dexterity Fire Scorpion Charm - Raises Fire Damage Ritual Sword Talisman - Raises attack when HP is at maximum You could use Marika's Soreseal over the Two Finger's Heirloom to get some extra Mind, but I found having less holy resistance for Elden Beast wasn't helpful and it's not like I was bottoming out on FP anyway. Wonderous Physick: Flame-Cracked - Increased Fire Damage for 90s Faith-Knot - +10 Faith for 180s

Yea you have to deal with phase 2 if you go to ng+7. It's an awful fight really. As is much of ER 🥲 Still had my fun though!

How much planning goes into setting up a build for each fight? Do you actually trial and error until something works out?

I usually go in with the idea that I want to try it out with a specific setup and then start tweaking things along the way.
